About Indianapolis Commercial Refrigeration

A commercial refrigeration service request line built specifically for Indianapolis-area food service and cold storage operators. We exist for one reason: to make it faster and clearer for a restaurant manager, food service director, grocery store operations manager, or facilities lead to get a qualified commercial refrigeration response when a walk-in fails, an ice machine stops producing, or a display case starts climbing out of FDA Food Code temperature.

What we are

Indianapolis Commercial Refrigeration operates as a 24/7 commercial-only refrigeration service request line. Service requests intake through this line are routed to a local commercial refrigeration service provider when one is available and the request fits the provider's service area, equipment capability, EPA Section 608 certification scope, and current schedule. We are not positioned as the contractor itself. Operational specifics — licensing, insurance, EPA certifications, technician credentials, response time, ETA, and rate structure — belong to the dispatched provider and are confirmed with you before any service truck is dispatched and before any work begins.

What we route

Eight intake categories cover the commercial refrigeration equipment in use across Indianapolis food service and cold storage facilities: walk-in cooler repair, walk-in freezer repair, restaurant refrigeration, grocery refrigeration, ice machine repair, cold storage refrigeration, refrigeration compressors and condensers, and preventive refrigeration maintenance. Equipment brands we routinely intake include Heatcraft, Bohn, Larkin, Russell, Copeland, Trenton, Hussmann, True Manufacturing, Beverage-Air, Continental, Hoshizaki, Manitowoc, Scotsman, Ice-O-Matic, Master-Bilt, Norlake, Kolpak, Arctic Industries, and many others.

Service area

Coverage spans the Indianapolis metro and Central Indiana — Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock, Boone, and Johnson counties. Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield, Greenwood, Franklin, Plainfield, Brownsburg, Avon, Whitestown, Lebanon, Greenfield, Mount Comfort, Speedway, and Beech Grove are all regularly covered. Facilities outside this footprint can call to have their location reviewed for service-area fit.

Food safety, temperature compliance, and EPA awareness

Commercial refrigeration is regulated equipment in regulated facilities. The FDA Food Code defines cold-holding requirements for potentially hazardous food, and refrigeration work involving refrigerant requires EPA Section 608 certification under federal law. Service partners in the network are required to hold the appropriate Section 608 certifications for the equipment they service, and they can provide repair documentation, refrigerant-handling records, and equipment temperature recovery notes for the operator's HACCP plan or health department file. We do not make first-person credential claims on this site because the credentials belong to the dispatched provider — but we make sure those documents are available on request.

Why we are explicit about positioning

Many local services sites overstate their relationship to the actual fulfillment provider. We do not. Every operational claim on this site is framed in terms of the service request and intake process — not in terms of fixed-time dispatch promises, blanket insurance dollar amounts, or fabricated technician counts. That posture protects operators (you know what you are calling and what to confirm before dispatch) and it protects the providers we work with (we do not put promises on them they have not signed up for). When a verified fulfillment partnership is finalized with a contractor that meets the requirements for a specific operator, the relevant operational facts can be documented directly between the two parties.
